Crew in west Pearland cleans up water pollution caused by recent rains

Environmental crews were working Wednesday to contain diesel and gasoline runoff that drained into two canals at the Southwyck subdivision at Southfork and Magnolia Boulevard.

Southwyck Community Association President John Fisher said recent heavy rains caused the fuel to run off from the Conoco gas station at the intersection of Cullen Boulevard and Fite Road.
