AUDITIONS FOR OUR NEXT “ROYAL” PLAY ARE COMING!!!

screen-shot-2016-12-02-at-8-35-57-amThe Classic Comedy/Drama, written by Mark Twain, “The Prince and the Pauper,” will be performed on March 3-5th.

 Auditions are December 5th from 6-8:30 p.m.

At the Golden Rule Services Building, located at 3801 Liberty Drive (Near Independence Park in Pearland)

Teachers and Parents, tell your students and children about this classic story! Many young people have not read it and won’t audition if they are unfamiliar with this novel.

The prince and the poor boy look almost identical, but are not related. They accidently bump into each other and decide to trade places. They each want to taste of the other’s life! Comedies about mistaken identities are always fun and this one has a wonderful conclusion!

There are great roles for adults, teens, and kids! We obviously need two boys or two girls who look alike! We will read from the script.

Those cast will have their scripts over the Christmas holidays. Rehearsals start on January 3rd of 2017.

Kid’s Backporch Productions is known for the quality of their plays and musicals and the respect with which they treat young talent!

A Gift of Giving

2016 is coming to a close and what a year it’s been for “Kid’s Backporch Productions!” “Elf, the Musical” is in rehearsal right now and we hope your family will celebrate Christmas with us! We have also produced:

  • Robin Hood
  • Ramona Quimby
  • Seussical the Musical
  • Cinderella
  • The Emperor’s New Clothes

Some of you have been on our stage. Some have worked behind the scenes and some have been a part of our audience.

Whether you have been involved with us in the past or in the present, KBP has touched your lives: We hope for the better. What is that worth to you and your child? We know that you paid tuition at the time of your child’s involvement, but do you believe you received more than your “money’s worth?” If so, would you be willing to give a tax-deductible gift here at the year’s end?

40% of our income must come from the generosity of individuals, families, and businesses. In this country, far more money flows to sports than the arts. Art organizations are the “underdog” and we need your support!

Even if you are no longer involved with us, did we make a difference in your child’s life? Would you make what we have to offer available to other youth in our city?

 We are needing:

  • A building we can call home
  • To bring the cost of tuition down
  • Provide scholarships for those in need
  • Finance small productions for school assemblies

Would you join our team of one-time and monthly givers- to bless other young actors and our audience?

Merry Christmas! We love your children and all those who come to us! We hope you have God’s blessings on all of your family and its endeavors in 2017.
